Luann Powers Gliwski, an interior designer with London Bay Homes’ Romanza Interior Design, was selected to create the memorable and innovative models that not only serve to highlight the interior space of the home, but also take full advantage of the gorgeous vistas beyond.

Moorings Park Grande Lake, the area’s newest and certainly most spectacular Life Plan Community, is centered around a 28-acre lake, aptly named Grande Lake, with golf course and water views at every turn. 

The two furnished models at Moorings Park Grande Lake include the Cascade and the Brook – names associated with our love of the water – and a hint of the beautiful, large lake that lies just outside the windows.

“I can’t emphasize strongly enough that the views from each residence at Grande Lake are simply wonderful,” said Gliwski. “Not only is it a great selling point, but it was the inspiration for the design of these two models.” 

Both interiors have unique design features that create focal points for potential buyers as they tour the residences. Take, for example, the wall treatments. Natural, textured and full of saturated colors, each wall treatment creates a focal point that draws a visitor’s eye naturally toward them.

As for the Cascade model specifically, Gliwski points out; “While slightly smaller than the Brook model, it has every bit of personality and then some. In this model, we selected tile floor as opposed to wood. Its neutral design with neutral colors are accented with jewel tones like coral, sapphire and jade.” 


The Brook model features a large media wall in the great room with a niche for the TV and airy shelving on either side for artwork and other personal treasures. The wall niches are lighted and wallpapered creating a warm and sophisticated look. 

“There’s also a wire-brushed oak floor in a medium tone, neutral cabinets and quartz countertops. The walls here create a nice, serene backdrop for the furnishings,” recalled Gliwski. “Neutral furnishings are brought to life through a variety of hand-crafted, curated materials. And, the unique lighting fixtures throughout the residence can be considered as art pieces in and of themselves.”
