The overall theme of the clubhouse, according to Lori Wegman, Founder of Wegman Design Group, takes inspiration from the connection between the community’s grande lake and the nature that surrounds it.
Features of the clubhouse lobby include a curved-shaped lounge and gathering spaces, defined by undulating wave-textured walls and ceilings. Perimeter lighting casts shadows on the wave walls creating a dynamic balance with botanical inspired artwork.
The shape of the bar in the lounge is inspired by water-washed stone with its natural, organic curves, providing 360 degree views. The bar ceiling will be a metal gridwork with multi-colored glass inserts inspired by the reflection of different colors water takes when infused with light.
The theatre at the clubhouse, with a seating capacity of 120, also has a number of special features including high quality audio and digital displays. The theatre has been specially designed for lectures, small performances and other desired resident activities and presentations.
A few of the planned outdoor activities or amenities at Moorings Park Grande Lake include a yoga pavilion, walking paths, lakeside parklettes with boardwalks, gardens, fire pits and overlooks; and several bird-watching posts.
