(November 11, 2019) The Chateau, Moorings Park’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, was recently named as one of the Best Nursing Homes for 2019-2020 by U.S News and World Report. The Chateau has been awarded the High Performing Badge for its long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services. Only 19% of U.S. nursing homes earned at least one badge.

Most centers received one of three ratings – high performing, average, or below average – for both Short-Term Rehabilitation and for Long-Term Care. The ratings are based on U.S. News’s in-depth analysis of publicly available data, including information that is not factored into Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) star ratings. Unlike the star ratings – which The Chateau is five-star rated -- the U.S. News ratings recognize that patients undergoing relatively short-term rehabilitation have very different needs from those who require longer-term care.
