Moorings Park® will hold its 10th Annual Showcase of Homes on Thursday, February 5 at its 83-acre campus located off Goodlette-Frank Road just south of Pine Ridge Road at 120 Moorings Park Drive in Naples. The Showcase of Homes allows members of the community to preview Moorings Park’s showcase of residential choices ranging from one bedroom homes to grand residences of over 5,000 square feet. The community’s gracious residents volunteer to open their homes to the public once a year to make this opportunity possible. In addition to the Showcase of Homes tour, participants will also have an opportunity to tour Moorings Park’s Simply the Best® amenities and services, including the elegant Moorings Park Clubhouse, the Center for Healthy Living, the upscale Trio Restaurant, the beautiful Bower Chapel, Botanical and Butterfly Gardens, Pet Park, putting and chipping greens, and the Har-Tru Tennis Courts.
The Showcase of Homes tours on February 5 will begin at the Moorings Park Clubhouse at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. Tour reservations can be made by calling 239.643.9111 no later than Friday, January 30.
Moorings Park’s Goodlette-Frank Road campus includes 384 independent living residences. The Goodlette-Frank Road campus consistently maintains a 99% occupancy rate. Depending on each resident’s choice of contract, entrance fees at the Goodlette-Frank Road campus can include a refundable option at the time of separation. Residential opportunities at Moorings Park’s Goodlette-Frank Road campus include the following: 882 to over 1,800 square feet, one, two, and three bedroom residences in two eight-story Towers; 1,202 to 2,006 square feet two or three bedroom two-story attached Garden Homes with golf course, lake, and garden views; Mid-Rise residences ranging from 1,338 to 3,366 square feet; Courtyard residences ranging from 1,345 to over 4,240 square feet; and Waterside residences starting at approximately 1,800 square feet with three residences over 5,000 square feet.
The tour of the 37,000 square feet Center for Healthy Living will include an overview of the Center’s Premier Senior Health Care Program provided by the greatest concentration of geriatrics clinical expertise in Southwest Florida. The Center for Healthy Living’s mission is to help patients achieve the highest level of independence in their day-to-day activities within their home and community. The innovative Premier Senior Health Care Program offers personalized healthcare based on a model akin to a traditional family practice. Services include diagnosis, treatment, coordination of multi-disciplinary care, preventive care, and health maintenance. Patients receive care that emphasizes accessibility, personal attention, and compassion. Services are available to residents and members of Moorings Park with no additional fees, other than typical co-pays. Third-party billing to Medicare will occur for services when appropriate.
The Premier Senior Health Care Program is overseen by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Michael Gloth, a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society. All of the Center’s providers have training in Geriatrics beyond Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Assisting Dr. Gloth is Adrian E. Torres, MD, CMD., who is fellowship-trained in Geriatrics at the Parker Jewish Geriatric Institute in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Torres is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Hospice and Palliative Care and a Certified Medical Director. Dr. Gloth’s team recently welcomed Sara Walther, ARNP, a Certified Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in Geriatrics, including long-term care and skilled rehabilitation medical care. She is also certified in Wound Care.
The integrated continuum of care provided at the Center for Healthy Living also includes the state-of-the-art Sheffield Theatre that is suitable for feature films and lectures, the full-service Rejuvenate Salon and Spa, a Max-Wellness retail store staffed by trained wellness advocates with products ranging from natural vitamins and supplements to fitness items and mobility devices, the innovative Cardio-Strength Area that offers customized cardio and strength programming geared toward seniors utilizing Kaiser senior fit equipment, the Group Fitness Studio, the Cognitive Zone, an Internet Café, and outpatient rehabilitation. Moorings Park’s Platinum Membership Program is designed to allow non-residents of Moorings Park to enjoy the amenities and physician services available at the Goodlette-Frank Road campus and to assist seniors with making informed decisions about their retirement. The Platinum Membership is available for a one-time-only membership fee plus an affordable monthly charge and allows seniors to sample Moorings Park’s amenities and services prior to committing to residency. The membership fee can be applied to residency entrance fees at Moorings Park's 83-acre Goodlette-Frank Road campus, or at the Moorings Park at Grey Oaks campus currently under construction at Airport-Pulling Road and Golden Gate Parkway, once the decision to move into Moorings Park is made.
